Sibocali Traders

Sibocali Traders is based in Durban at KwaZulu Natal province in South Africa.

Sibocali Traders was founded by Sibongile Mtsabe who has good experience from the cooperate world, she has Bachelor of Technology Degree in Marketing, Project Management NQF Level 4, National Certificate in Multimedia. She also got practical training in business management and research through different platforms like government, global and private sectors in her entrepreneurship journey in the past seven years. We believe in financial independent rural and township communities. The reality is, there is not enough income in these areas. A girl called Ayanda goes to the township from the village to seek for greener pastures in the city because of lack of opportunities and minimal economical involvement in her village. She could not afford to pay a descent apartment in the city and the option was the Mayville township close to Durban which offered a cheaper shack. She left a good and warm home to stay in an informal settlement in quest of searching greener pastures. This exposes her to fall in trap of dating sugar daddies, get some monies for survival and chance of unwanted pregnancy. We met with Ayanda, and we discovered that there is an unused land in her home that can be used to better her family and neighbours’ lives.  We gave seeds to them in Magabheni Village the southern side of Kwa Zulu Natal and bought back some vegetables and they were very happy about it.

There is inadequate income and less opportunities for money circulation in rural and township communities. Kwa Zulu Natal population is estimated at 11 million people, +50% of that stay in rural and township areas. The recent information on unemployment rate is that South Africa's unemployment rate climbed by a percentage point from last year to 30, 1% in the first quarter of 2020 and KwaZulu-Natal is sitting at 26.9 percent, and this is below the national average of 30.1 percent.
