Shidan industries was registered by Tarryn Vos in 2018 as a PTY LTD. Initially it was established as a small printing company to supplement the founder's income. 

In late 2020, prompted by slowdown of business as a result of Covid-19 pandemic, a decision was taken to change industries and venture into the hair salon services. The Shidan Salon was opened in January of 2021. 

In February 2021, Lyle Vos joined the company as the CEO. By June 2021, a decision was taken to diversify the business offering. A contract manufacturer was sought to partner with and develop The Shidan Collection Range of products.

The products were launched in August 2021 and was sold directly to consumers via the e-commerce site and in The Shidan Salon. 

 In September 2021, the products were sold into 5 Spar Stores locally. Sales continue to grow.

Argan Range of Hair Products (Sulphate Free)

Argan makes hair manageable, shiny and gives it body. 

It helps eliminates frizzy hair, split ends and treats oily scalp, scales and bacteria.

Rooibos Range of Hair Products (Sulphate Free)

Rooibos washes away daily toxins and protects hair. A normalising and balancing formulation, suit able for the most sensitive hair and skin.

KeraPro Range of Hair Products (Sulphate Free)

Adds a brilliant, luxurious glow and shine. Eliminates frizz, detangles and adds keratin to the hair.

SilverPotent Range of Hair Products (Sulphate Free)

Brightening and rich in collagen and active yellow-neutralizing violet agents. It combines a treatment that adds shine and neutralizes.

Clients can enjoy a wash, blowdry and flatiron while sipping on some tea, coffee, water or sparkling wine.

Cutting and Trimming

Clients can enjoy a haircut for a beautiful new look or just have their dead ends trimmed off to look refreshed.

Braiding Services Clients who enjoy low maintenance styles can have their hair braided.

Colour Services

Clients can change up their look with a different colour.

Treatment Services

Clients can enjoy a repair, moisturizing, smoothing or anti-frizz treatment. These include but are not limited to Osmo Intense repair, Cryotherapy Treatment, Botox Treatment, Brazilian Blowout Treatment, MycroKeratin Treatment, Argan Mask Treatment.
